No, sea lions. I did see a couple of fur seals on a rock at one point, but I don't think I got a good picture.

It's just a wave catching the sunlight I think.

First off my caption was all sorts of wrong, the word giant isn't in the name (I was confusing them with the land tortoises). To answer your question, a small one is a couple of feet long, the big ones can get over four feet long!
